Civil Aviation Administration of China: To build an air transport power by 2035
On February 29, the Civil Aviation Administration of China held a regular press conference for February. Zhang Qing, director of the Development Planning Department of the Civil Aviation Administration, said that in order to thoroughly implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, fully implement the deployment of the "Outline for the Construction of a Transportation Power" and the "National Comprehensive Three-dimensional Transportation Network Planning Outline", further strengthen strategic self-confidence, build consensus on development, boost confidence in the development of the industry, strive to write a new chapter in the construction of civil aviation in a transportation power, and better serve the construction of a modern socialist country, the "Action Plan for Writing a New Chapter in the Construction of a Transportation Power in the New Era and New Journey" is specially formulated.
In terms of development goals, the "Outline" focuses on the strategic goal of building a first-class air transport power with "strong security, people's satisfaction and strong competitiveness", puts forward requirements for the completion of the "14th Five-Year Plan" development tasks, and in accordance with the strategic arrangement of building a modern socialist power in two stages in accordance with the report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, it is proposed to build an air transport power by 2035, and by the middle of this century, build a first-class air transport power with strong security, people's satisfaction and strong competitiveness. By 2025, we will fully complete the tasks of the "14th Five-Year Plan" for civil aviation development, accelerate the comprehensive recovery of the development of the industry, and lay a solid foundation for the high-quality development of civil aviation in the new stage.
By 2035, China will become an air transport powerhouse. Civil aviation has accelerated its progress to the world-class level in terms of industry safety, service capabilities, facilities and equipment, technological innovation and management level, and has played a basic, leading and strategic role in supporting major national strategies, promoting regional economic and social development, meeting the needs of the people for better air travel, and serving the construction of a new development pattern.
